Jens Christophersen Bøe: Born May 28, 1823 at the farm Grønsten(C) under Bøe in Gjerpen by parents Christopher Jensen and Maren Ingebretsdatter. He was baptized June 8th. He was the brother of nr 23 (Niels Christophersen Bøe) who emigrated together with him.
In 1845 Jens lived in the house with his brother Niels on Mellom Bøe and in 1835 he stayed at home on Grønsten with his parents.
After he came to Ashippun, he married January 22, 1855 to Amalie Severine Rennesund, the daughter of Thor Eriksen Rennesund and Birthe Sondresdatter, who had emigrated from Solum in 1850. She was born April 21, 1831.
Jens and Amalie had 4 children:

1. Maren Berthea, born Oct 13, 1856.
2. Christoffer Edward, born Oct 2, 1858.
3. Thomine Benedicte, born April 5, 1861.
4. Anna Kirstine, born Oct 15, 1864.

Jens died January 19, 1910 and Amalie April 30, 1903. Both are buried in Ashippun Lutheran Cemetery.
