born 1806 and baptized Febr 11th. Father was Lars Larsen
Kjær and mother Marte Axelsdatter. They had been married Oct 22, 1801 in Gjerpen.
Isak married Marianne Christensdatter
Borrestadholmen on Nov 2, 1837. She was born 7 Sept 1813
and parents were Christen Larsen and probably Ellen Margarethe
Larsdatter who were married in Gjerpen
in 1805. The mother must have died shortly after the birth of Marianne, because
Christen remarries 29 year old Birte Larsdatter Ballestad on Nov 6,
1818. Christen Larsen marries for the 3rd time in 1826 (Oct 26) to
Anne Kirstine Larsdatter
from Ballestad. He was 49 and she was 28 years old.
In 1835 we find Christen Larsen and wife Anne Kirstine
living on Borrestadholmen with the children Lars, age
12 and Kirsten age 25.
Isak and Marianne had two children who emigrated with
them:
Lars Isaksen b. Dec 6, 1837 at Nordre
Brekkejordet, d. 1865 poss. in Civil War?
Christen Isaksen b.
Dec 25, 1841 at Nordre Brekkejordet.
Elen Margrethe b. Nov 20, 1844 at Berg u/Gjerpen
The family lived at Gjerpen Lille in 1845 and Isak was then a shoemaker.

Isak Larsen died 1 Oct 1890. Marianne died 24 Mar 1902. They are buried in the Gjerpen
cemetery,
Isak Larsen's paternal grandparents were Lars Solvesen Rosvald and Anne Larsdatter Kjær. His maternal grandparents were Axel Nielsen Hyni and Gunbor Aslaksdatter Grini.
Mariane Christensdatter's paternal
grandparents were Lars Hansen Lie and Kirsten Hansdatter. Her maternal grandparents were Lars Jensen Ballestad and Dorthe Margrethe Johansdatter Meyer.
