Simon Olsen Høgås: He was born July 12, 1818 on the farm Kittilsrød under Rising. Parents were Ole Sigurdsen Kittilsrød and Maria Torstensdatter.
He was married 3 times. First he married Anne Kirstine Mathiasdatter, who was born December 10, 1817 on the farm Sukken in Gjerpen. Her parents may be Mathias Hansen and Anne Marie Eriksdatter, who lived on the farm Høgås under Sætret under Rising.
She died September 5, 1849.

They had the child:

a: Mathias, born December 17, 1846 on Høgås under Rising. He was living in 1880.

He then married November 18, 1849 Gunhild Hansdatter Hagen, daughter of Hans Steensen Hagen in Sauherad (Saude) and
Kirsti Pedersdatter, who had also emigrated in 1847.
They had the child:

b. Hans, born March 29, 1850

Gunhild died and he married for the 3rd time to the 15 year-old Maren Nielsdatter, January 12, 1856.
They had the children:

c. Anne Marie, born November 14, 1858.
d. Gunhild Kirstine, born May 5, 1862.
e. Lovise, born January 23, 1865.
f. Nina Mathilde, born May 2, 1869.
g. Martin Severin, born June 27, 1877.

Simon died July 18, 1893.
