Johan Fredrik Førre:  He was born May 2, 1824 on Bratsberg farm in Gjerpen. His parents were Iver Christensen Førre and
Christence Sophie Monradsdatter. Johan Fredrik married Elise Martine Hansen (Flitta) June 9, 1851. She is said to have emigrated in 1849.
She was born July 8, 1823. They had one child; Josephine Berntine, who was born January 28, 1853, and who was according to the 
late Gerhard Naeseth, living in 1882 by the name of Mrs. Wm. Peterson.

Johan Fredrik died May 31, 1882 and his wife Nov 8, 1888. They are both buried in Stone Bank Lutheran Cemetary.

From Andrew Johnson of Oconomowoc comes the following oinformation.

Johan Fredrik Forre (Forra)  (5-2-1824 or 4-23-1823 to 5-31-1882)  He was born on Bratsberg in Gjerpen.  His father saved a wealthy gentleman from drowning and recived as a reward a pension from him for life.  He immigrated on the Salvatore in 1843.  He settled first in the Town of Merton. where he worked for the farmers for seven years.  He then bought a farm of 30 acres in Sec. 26 in the Town of Oconomowoc.  He was a farmer, m. Elise Martine (Marthine) Hansdatter Flitta (7-8-1823 to 11-8-1888) on 6-9-1851.  She was Hansdatter Frogner per Naeseth.  She immigrated from Gjerpen in 1849 on the Valhalla.  Johan worked for farmers for seven years and then bought a farm of 3 acres in Sec. 36 on Nelson Rd.  He later added 150 acres.  In 1870, he built a brick house to take the place of his log home. They are buried at the Lutheran cemetery in Stone Bank.  The History of Oconomowoc 1994 p. 22 states that John Forra  b. 1823 in Norway, came to Town of Merton in 1843 and to T. of Ocon. in 1850, and was a a farmer and early settler of the Town of Oconomowoc.  Their farm was on Okauchee Lake.  Family history says that Indians came every year to camp out on the point.  Two of Johan’s great great great grandchildren live in the Town of Oconomowoc.  They are Robert Tweeden and his sister, Susan Tweeden.  Children:
     2.  Josephine Berntine (Bertine) Forre (1-28-1853 to 1931)  According to Gerhard Naeseth, she was living in 1882 by the name of Mrs. William Peterson.  She m. Ole Peterson (William Tweeden) (1849 to 1905), son of Peter Peterson Tveiten in 1879.  (See Ole Peterson Tveiten file for continuation.)  They had seven children:
