Utreist til/Emigrated to: Manitowoc Rapids township, Manitowoc Co, Wisconsin - 1843.

Søren Larsen Ballestad: Born at Ballestad February 10, 1817 by parents Lars Thorsen Ballestad and Karen Gurine Sørensdatter. He married  Marthe Gurine, who was born in April 1816.
Søren died April 21, 1901 and his wife died February 16, 1861. Both are buried at Faith Luth. Cem., Valders, Wisconsin.

He was one of the first people to settled in Manitowoc.
